Capacity and confidence

Build the body you can trust on the course.

Pain, injury and physical setbacks can change the way a golfer practises, plays and thinks about movement. Core & Caddy helps rebuild physical capacity and confidence after appropriate clinical care, with a pathway that respects both the individual and the demands of the game.

A considered route forward

Understand current capacity. Work within the right boundaries.

The objective is not to make promises about injury prevention or to replace diagnosis and treatment. It is to understand the golfer’s current capacity, work within appropriate boundaries and progressively develop the physical qualities required for confident participation.

The pathway

Five movements. One considered return.

01

Understand

Explore the golfer’s history, current concerns, movements avoided and ambitions for returning.

02

Coordinate

Work alongside the relevant clinician and teaching professional when their input is required.

03

Rebuild

Develop movement confidence, control, strength and tolerance progressively.

04

Reintroduce

Increase the physical demands of training and golf in a considered way.

05

Reassess

Review how capacity has changed and decide what the golfer is ready to develop next.

Clubs

Why this matters to clubs.

A clear return to golf pathway helps clubs support members who might otherwise drift away from practice, coaching and participation after a setback. It also creates an appropriate bridge between clinical care, physical development and technical coaching.

New or unexplained pain, acute injury, neurological symptoms and conditions requiring diagnosis or treatment are referred to an appropriate healthcare professional. Core & Caddy contributes physical performance development within that wider team.

A considered return sits beside existing coaching and clinical care — not in place of either.
